Blonde Dewaxed Shellac Flakes are used to produce a transparent, brown-coloured French Polish which is often used in antique restoration or the bespoke production of furniture. It is easy to use and is ideal for use on lighter coloured woods.

Application

Add 250g of Blonde Dewaxed Shellac Flakes to 1L of methylated spirit and allow the shellac flakes to soak for a minimum of 24 hours, or until all the shellac flakes have dissolved. Stir or shake occasionally to help the shellac flakes to dissolve more easily. More shellac flakes or methylated spirit may be added to adjust the strength to your personal preference.
