Spirit Wood Dye is ideal for use on hardwood and for furniture restoration, and is a traditional dye which penetrates deep into the wood. It can be mixed together to obtain intermediate shades, and is suitable for colouring dense hardwoods such as mahogany and oak, as well as for colouring previously finished woods, such as antique restoration. Easy to apply and with a new ethanol-based formula, it comes in a range of intermixable colours.

Application
Shake well before use. If more than one tin of dye is required to complete the work mix the tins together to ensure a uniform colour. Apply one liberal coat of Spirit Wood Dye with a brush or cloth, working with the grain wherever possible. Allow the stain to penetrate, then remove the excess with a clean cotton cloth. For a stronger colour, apply a second coat after four hours. When dry, Spirit Wood Dye may be finished with a water-based varnish, wax, oil or French polish.
