Vehicle paints are often the best quality paints you can buy. They are very tough, weather and abrasion resistant and retain their gloss. HMG also use top quality pigments so that the colours do not fade. Vehicle paints are available in a much bigger colour range than industrial or protective coatings, - not just BS and RAL but all the commercial and agricultural colours and many car paint colours as well.
We stock the full range of HMG’s single and 2 pack vehicle finishes and primers. 2 pack paints will always give the best performance but we often recommend the single pack finishes because they can be brushed or roller applied. The quality of HMG commercial vehicle paints means that they can also be used for lots of other applications where durability is important. We have supplied HMG paint for many diverse applications including barges, traction engines, industrial doors, machine tools, cranes, pipelines, structural steelwork and storage tanks
One of our most popular HMG products is Gipgloss cellulose. Cellulose is fantastic paint, easy to use and very fast drying. It is however very flammable so its use in mainline industry has declined. However it is still extremely useful and we sell a lot in aerosols (for touching up powder coating), for classic car restoration and for commercial wood finishing (furniture and frame painting).
Another useful HMG product is SC601. This is an industrial 2 pack polyurethane enamel. It can be used on vehicles (though we would normally recommend the better quality Acrythane XSC21) but we make SC601 in a variety of gloss levels – which makes it useful for painting machinery and commercial wood finishing (see also Intercoat).
