We make our own light industrial primers and top coats. The difference between protective coatings and light/general industrial is that although both are designed for the protection and decoration of (mainly) metal products/structures, protective coatings tend to be used when performance is the most important consideration (e.g on an oil rig) whereas industrial finishes are used when price and ease of use/application are more important.

The industrial finishes we make are single pack, fast drying and applied by spray. They are normally ‘factory’ applied as part of the manufacturing process (rather than on site). Most of the paints we make are thinned with organic solvents (xylene, white spirit) but we do now make a range of water thinned industrial primers for spray application.
We supply a real variety of customers making all sorts of metal products - compressors, pumps, valves, architectural steel work, radiators, agricultural equipment, trailers, skips and shipping containers.
the main reasons why we like making these paints ourselves is that we can ensure that our products are good quality and we can normally ‘turn around’ an order much quicker than our competitors . Price is also very important so we are more competitive than distributors and it it is better to buy direct from a manufacturer.
Sometimes a customer will need a product that is specifically ‘designed’ to suit their particular requirements. This could be a special colour, or texture, drying time, or adhesion to a particular metal or plastic. We have our own paint chemist and can develop a product to suit your needs.
We can also ‘toll manufacture’, so if you have a paint/ink or solvent blend that that you would like someone else to make we would be happy to help.
