Purchasing/delivery

What forms of payment do you take?

Online we take Visa/Visa debit/Visa electron & Mastercard. On the phone anything except AMEX.

Can I pay upon delivery?

Orders taken for delivery must be paid for through sagepay online, or over the phone before delivery. If you are collecting stock items you can pay upon collection. However any bespoke items (tinted or made to order) must be paid for before they are made. We will have to do this over the phone.

Is the website safe?

Yes, we are secured with sagepay and 3D Secure for online transactions.

What is your returns policy?

Stock items can be returned to us at your expense if you change your mind up to two weeks from delivery. Wallpaper manufacturers have their won return policies. If they are damaged upon return we cannot give a refund. If you have been supplied damaged or faulty goods we will refund or replace at our cost. Products made specifically for you on order (bespoke items) are non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How do we know if an order has been received?

You will get an automated email.

When can I expect my order?

Within 2-3 working days. This may be more around holiday periods or if the products are not stock items/are out of stock. 

What if an item is out of stock?

We will ring and/or email you and you can choose to cancel your order at this point if you wish. We quickly order items in to us and this should not greatly affect delivery time.

Can you deliver to an address different to card address?

Yes, you can specify a different delivery address to the card address.

Can I specify a delivery time?

Yes, but it will cost extra. Please ring us to arrange a timed delivery.

Can I receive a delivery on a Saturday?

Yes, but again there are extra charges. Please ring us to arrange a Saturday Delivery. Small boxes (£2.65 charge) can be sent for Saturday delivery with Royal Mail, but it is not guaranteed.

 

Product Questions

What paint should I use for ‘x’ job?

Please read product information to see if it is suitable. Check if it is OK for interior or exterior use, can go onto the surface you are painting and what preparation is required. If you have any technical queries or are looking for advice please ring us.

I can’t find what I’m looking for, where is 'x'?

You can look for products based on brand, type of paint or with the search bar. If you can’t find what you want please give us a call and we will be happy to help.

My colour was different than I saw online?

Online representations of colour are not accurate, and are just a guide. Monitors/graphics cards and browsers will all vary the colours they output so what you see is not reliable. We always recommend at least looking at a physical colour chart, or buying an actual sample of paint. We are not responsible for colour choice errors.

My paint hasn’t dried?

Heat and humidity play a vital role in paint drying. Do not use water-based paints in cold weather. If you want any technical advice please phone us.

What should I do as preparation before painting?

Different jobs and products will require different levels of preparation. Please read datasheets and product information, or contact us for specialist advice.

I want to order some colour charts, how much do they cost?

We will send you colour charts for just the cost of postage. Feel free to add them in with your orders. Limit of 1 of each maximum.

Can you do 'x' colour in 'y' brand?

Some colours are available in all brands, but individual product ranges are only available in their own colours. Please contact us if you would like to make sure we can make the colour in your selected paint. We will contact you if you have chosen something that cannot be made and will suggest alternatives.

What brush should I use?

We recommend a natural bristle brush for oil based paints, and a synthetic brush for water based paints.

Do you sell wallpaper?

Yes, but currently only in store. Please visit us to view our wallpaper range.

How much are wallpaper samples?

These are free. Delivery times vary between brand. Please contact us if you would like us to order in samples for you.

How many sample pots of paint can I order?

As many as you want! 1-4 samples can be sent with royal mail for a low delivery cost of £2.65. 5 or more has to be taken by our courier and is at the higher rate of £7.50.

I want a specific colour. Can you match it for me?

Colour matching is difficult and time consuming, and will never be perfect. Please ring us for more information on this service.

I can’t see datasheets for product x. Is there one?

Some products may be missing their datasheets. Please ring us and we can see if we can find one to give to you. 

I need a specific spec done. Can you help with this?

Certainly, our sales team has expert knowledge and can spec a job for you on the phone, for DIY, professional decorators and industrial applications.

Where is your shop?

We are located in Thrupp near Stroud. Griffin Mill, GL52AZ. Please see Shop Location page for a map and directions.

When are you open?

Our opening hours are 8-5 Mon-Fri (all) and 9-5 Saturday (shop only).

Can I collect my order after paying online?

Unfortunately no. All orders paid for online will be sent via courier. If you would like to collect in store please select the ‘collect in store’ option. We can then take payment in store, or by phone if some items are bespoke and need payment before we make them.

I have a credit note from in store. Can I use this online?

No, the shop is separate from the website. Please come into the store to use your credit note.

Some of my order was missing?

If some products are not in stock we may send your order in two or more deliveries. We will always contact you before doing this. If there has been a mistake and an item is missing please contact us and we will send it to you asap.

What is the difference between trade and retail paint?

Trade paints are the go to for professional users because they are a higher quality, are nicer to use, have greater coverage and opacity, and are generally better products. All of these benefits are available to anyone who is looking to do a better quality job.

I have an account, can I log in on the website?

Unfortunately at this time we do not have account functionality on the website. If you are a cash or credit account customer please continue to phone or email us your orders. Feel free to use the website to view our product range and get useful information however.
